Is this just another Model UN Conference?
Yes and no: We have tailored a brand-new experience that mimicks the environment of a conference online. A recurring complaint that GatorMUN receives from advisors is that their kids don't know parliamentary procedure, and that they feel unprepared because of that. Here, we will be maximizing the learning aspect that many delegates don't experience at conferences. However, delegates will still have to read background guides and compete as if they were in a higher-stakes conference, such as GatorMUN.
What is the association with GatorMUN?
This conference was created by the University of Florida Model United Nations team, the same people who created GatorMUN. Many members are working on both GatorMUN and SwampMUN secretariats to ensure we put our best foot forward in this first iteration.
When will more details on registration and pricing be revealed?
We will be revealing registration opening and pricing early-mid summer 2025. However, other details such as committees and directors will be revealed first, so make sure to keep an eye on the SwampMUN Instagram, LinkedIn, and newsletter for further important announcements!
